After the Cantabs did a rain-dance last year to stave off what was sure to be yet another stinging defeat, the Elis plan to roar back onto the pitch this year to defend Yale's title of perennial powerhouse. The match will take place at Greenwich Polo Club on September 18th.

          The Harriman Cup                Ox Ridge Hunt Club

An annual match between Yale and UVA alumni, this wildly popular event will take place at Ox Ridge Hunt Club in Darien, Connecticut on October 2nd. As one Yale Daily News article put it, "When you see horses galloping and Aston Martins parked for fancy tailgates, you know you are at a polo match."

 

 

Did you know?

The Yale Polo and Equestrian Center is housed in the armory, which was built by the army in 1916 to train cavalry.

 

The April (Fools) Cup

The April Cup is the one that really counts for all of the marbles. Pitting the best and brightest Elis against each other, Yale Polo squared off in some intrasquad competition. Teams Barn and FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) came away as co-champions.
